EIT Women and Girls in STEM Forum 2026
Celebrating Europe’s future space innovators

The EIT Women and Girls in STEM Forum is the flagship annual event of Girls Go STEM, an initiative of the EIT Community. It brings secondary school students and teachers from all over Europe together with policymakers, industry leaders and role models from across the STEM sector to celebrate young talent and drive action on gender equality in STEM.
For its 6th edition, the Forum comes to Prague and turns its eyes to space. Under the theme of women in aerospace, the programme explores how Europe can stay competitive in the new space race, and why bringing more women and young people into the sector is key to its future.
At the heart of the Forum is the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge finale, where Europe’s future space innovators take the stage.
What to expect
Student Challenge finale
The highlight of the day: the Girls Go STEM Student Challenge is an annual competition in which teams of girls aged 14 to 19 from across Europe develop solutions to a current STEM problem. This year, they took on space debris. From 28 national winning teams, the top three now bring their ideas to the stage in Prague, pitching live to a jury before the winners are revealed at the award ceremony.
Talks and discussions
From Europe’s place in the new space race to what it takes to start a career in the aerospace field, the stage programme brings together voices from across Europe’s space sector to talk about innovation, career opportunities and how the sector can attract more women and young talent.
Workshops and mentoring
The students and teachers taking part in the Forum join workshops and mentoring sessions with experts, gaining practical insights into STEM careers and new ideas to take back to the classroom.
Networking
The Forum is a place for students and teachers to connect with professionals from aerospace and beyond, and to discover what the EIT Community and other European organisations have to offer.
